As a restaurant manager, you are responsible during your shift for the daily course of affairs in the entire restaurant. You are a milestone in arranging and dealing with sick notifications, orders, and deliveries. As a restaurant manager, you are available for employees and guests. You know what needs to be done in each department, arrange the breaks and support the team by assisting during the busy moments.
In addition to the daily course of affairs in all departments, you are responsible for the teams within your assigned department. In consultation with the Restaurant Manager, you conduct job interviews, and appraisal interviews and give feedback to colleagues. You think about improvements, adjustments, training new colleagues, etc. You receive intensive internal training in accordance with our guidelines to prepare you for this position.
Shortly after you have opened the doors of the staff entrance, the first employees step inside. You check whether everything is neatly closed the previous evening and you view the schedule of the day. Just after you’ve made a cup of coffee, the phone rings, a sick pasta cook. The first challenge of the day. Fortunately, you saw a call service on the timetable and you switch it on immediately. Solved. You go further, count your cash registers and check whether all departments are on schedule. After all, you have to open on time.
During lunch, you help your colleague at the pizza with taking orders and help with topping. That way you keep the pace and limit the waiting time. As soon as your colleague has it under control, you walk out of the kitchen to help the service employee straighten the restaurant.
Your morning shift is almost over as soon as you have sent all departments during your shift with a break, the restaurant looks neat and you have checked the present departments for their day tasks. After the shift transfer with the closing manager, it is really time to go home.
